1. Training and Education

Are you qualified? Absolutely. With over 40 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist, I bring a wealth of expertise. Additionally, I’ve extended my training into Life and Health Coaching, Functional Medicine Education, and Integrative Nutrition.

2. Motivation Behind Extra Training

Why go beyond physical therapy? My personal journey through injury, trauma, and toxicity led me to seek comprehensive solutions. The traditional medical model fell short, prompting me to broaden my education to serve myself better. Witnessing the profound impact on my own well-being, I decided to share this approach with my patients.

3. Treatment Philosophy

How do you approach treatment? I conduct thorough full-body and lifestyle evaluations to uncover the root causes of symptoms rather than just addressing the symptoms themselves.

What’s the significance of addressing the root cause? Symptoms often stem from factors like stress, inflammation, physical restrictions, and limiting mindsets. I treat the restrictions rather than the symptoms alone. For instance, shoulder pain might result from issues in the pelvis and trunk.

4. Treatment Program Details

What’s involved in the treatment program? The initial visit (up to 90 minutes) involves a comprehensive history and movement assessment. We create a customized plan based on this. Subsequent sessions (60-90 minutes) focus on specialized manual therapy, tailored movements, low-light laser therapy, and more.

What’s unique about your approach? My holistic approach integrates physical therapy, lifestyle modifications, coaching, accountability, and nutritional support. It empowers you to overcome limitations and enhance your overall well-being.

5. Insurance

Do you accept insurance? No, my services are entirely cash-based. However, I can provide a super bill for insurance reimbursement except for Medicare. I chose not to accept insurance to offer expanded services for your health and well-being.

6. Scheduling

How soon can I book an appointment? I strive to accommodate clients within the week, sometimes even within a few days.

Is there a cancellation charge? If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, you will be charged the full appointment fee.

7. Appointment

What do I wear? Dress comfortably with clothes that allow easy access for the therapist to examine your problem areas. For treatments, loose-fitting clothes that are comfortable for gentle exercises and supportive sneakers are often good choices to wear.

8. Ideal Client/Patient

Who benefits most from your approach? My ideal clients are motivated individuals seeking comprehensive solutions beyond traditional medical routes. They’re those tired of limited progress and determined to regain their vitality and quality of life.

9. Bemer Therapy

What’s the duration of a Bemer session? Bemer sessions last just eight minutes, gently enhancing blood flow throughout the body.

Is Bemer included in your program? Yes, Bemer sessions are integral to the Kinney Physical Therapy & Wellness experience, contributing to pain-free, holistic health.

What sets Bemer apart? Bemer’s unique signal and configuration stimulate microcirculation unlike any other modality. This FDA-cleared device targets microcirculation with scientifically grounded patterns, promoting optimal circulation throughout the body.

How does Bemer therapy work? Bemer employs a patented PEMF signal to enhance circulation, supporting the body’s natural self-regulation processes. Improved circulation ensures the effective transport of nutrients, oxygen, and immune cells, promoting overall health.

What can I expect during Bemer therapy? Sensations vary from tingling to relaxation or warmth, and sometimes no sensation at all. While the experience differs, the focus is on the results: enhanced blood flow and microcirculation, benefiting cellular function.

How long has Bemer been around? Celebrating its 25th year anniversary, Bemer has been enhancing health globally for decades. It’s a class two medical device, suitable for use in hospitals and clinics.
