Welcome to the beginning of an exciting journey towards health and well-being! In this five-part monthly series, we’re going to dive into the Five Fundamentals of Health, and my hope is that by the end of it, you’ll be empowered with knowledge and insight that will inspire positive change in your life.
So, what are these Five Fundamentals, you ask?
1. Healing Is Within
2. Simplicity and Consistency
3. Movement and Stillness
4. Stress Resiliency
5. Fueling Ourselves for Success
The first Fundamental is: Healing is Within
Take a moment to ask yourself: “Are you generally healthy or unhealthy?”
Let’s face the facts: The US spends more on healthcare and consumes more medication than the rest of the world combined. And yet, our health statistics paint a grim picture. We’re behind in overall health and battling chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and autoimmune disorders.
But here’s the good news: Healing Is Not Exclusive to Pharmaceuticals and External Interventions.
Our bodies are incredible self-healing machines. From mending broken bones to fighting off common colds, our natural resilience shines. Yet, we’ve been conditioned to believe that external interventions are the only answer. Healing begins within, and it’s time to trust in our innate power.
My mission is to help clients discover this through having a healthier mindset and lifestyle. I encourage you to consider these critical questions:
- Why do you want to get better?
- What is your body preventing you from doing?
- Are you ready to take action?
Focusing on your health and well-being is just the first step. With focus comes purpose, and purpose ignites emotions, which drives behavioral changes that are crucial to your success. Together, we can set meaningful health goals that will aid you in your wellness journey. You live with yourself 24/7, so you are in charge of your body, your inner source of healing.
My role is to serve as your guide, ensure you remain committed to yourself, and hold you accountable for achieving your health goals.
So, ask yourself: Are you a passenger in your health journey, or are you the driver? Taking control doesn’t mean you’re alone but rather signifies you’re actively participating in your wellness story (As you should be!) Your mindset shapes your journey from “I can do this” to “What I do matters.”
