Getting Started

How do I get started?

The easiest first step is the free Wellness Evaluation. Enter your email, we'll send you a simple one-page evaluation, and when you return it you'll earn a free 15-minute consultation with Dan to talk through what's going on and whether the Kinney Way is right for you. No cost, no obligation.

What is the Wellness Evaluation?

It's a quick, one-page snapshot of how your whole body — including your gut — is really doing. It gives Dan a foundation to understand you as an individual, so your very first conversation is about you, not the average patient.

What happens on my first visit?

New patients get real time with Dan. A typical first visit (cash-pay) runs about 90 minutes and includes a comprehensive full-body evaluation, hands-on treatment in the same visit, a personalized home program, and clear education so you understand your condition and why your body is responding the way it is.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

If you have Medicare, a referral (Rx) from your physician is required before beginning treatment.

About Dan & the Kinney Way

What is the Kinney Way?

The Kinney Way is Dan's full-body approach to care. Instead of chasing the spot that hurts, he treats the body as one connected system — finding the hidden restriction that's overloading the painful area and releasing it, so your whole body moves freely again. In short: treat the cause, not just the symptom.

Is this chiropractic care? Are you a chiropractor?

No. Dan is a Physical Therapist (PT). The Kinney Way is full-body physical therapy — hands-on treatment, movement retraining, and functional-medicine support. It's a different approach from chiropractic, and many of Dan's patients came to him after other approaches didn't give lasting relief.

Is Dan a doctor?

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University and practices as a Physical Therapist (PT). Because Northwestern didn't offer a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program when he graduated, he uses the credential PT — and brings 25+ years of experience, plus training in functional medicine, integrative nutrition, and mindset coaching.

How is this different from the physical therapy I've tried before?

Most therapy focuses on the painful area alone. The Kinney Way looks at the whole chain — from foot to skull — because the real driver of your pain is often somewhere else entirely. That's why it so often helps people who felt stuck after standard care.

Insurance & Pricing

Transparent pricing,
no surprises.

We believe in honest, upfront conversations about cost. Below are our current cash-pay rates — and we also offer Medicare for eligible patients.

Do you take insurance or Medicare?

We offer both cash-pay and Medicare for eligible patients.

Why cash-pay instead of billing every insurance?

So Dan can spend the time each patient truly needs and deliver full-body care that insurance visits often don't allow.

Programs, Conditions & Technology

What programs do you offer?

Three signature programs built on the Kinney Way: the Gut-Brain Wellness Protocol (metabolic health), Full-Body Physical Therapy including the Knee Restoration Program (structural health), and the Movement Restoration Program (neurological health) — plus a Neuropathy program. Each starts from the same full-body foundation.

What kinds of problems do you help with?

Chronic and complex issues across the body — knee, hip, spine, shoulder, and neck pain; balance and mobility limitations; neuropathy symptoms; and gut/inflammation-related concerns. See our Conditions We Help page for the full picture. Many patients come to us after everything else has fallen short.

What technology do you use?

When it will help your recovery, Dan pairs hands-on care with proven tools like shockwave therapy, Erchonia low-level laser, the Neubie (e-stim), and home devices such as the ReBuilder.

How many visits will I need / how soon will I see results?

It depends on your condition and how long it's been going on — Dan maps out clear expectations up front and adjusts as you progress.
